当地时间2024年12月29日，美国前总统卡特逝世，终年100岁。卡特担任总统期间的诸多外交成就中，最引人注目的当数推动中美建交。
忆及卡特，美国弗吉尼亚大学名誉教授雷朴实(Bruce Reynolds)在接受中新网采访时表示，卡特为人正直、聪颖，他训练有素，且做事尽心尽力，是一个以事实和分析做判断的人。
雷朴实指出，卡特一生都在倡导和平，始终坚信应该做正确的事，他的勇气有助于推动中美两国建交。卡特坚信，这些举措是正义之举。(薛凌桥)
Jimmy Carter, who served as the 39th president of the United States from 1977 to 1981, died on Dec. 29, 2024, at the age of 100. Among Carter's many diplomatic achievements during his presidency, perhaps the most notable was promoting the establishment of diplomatic relations between the U.S. and China.
Recalling former U.S. president Jimmy Carter, Bruce Reynolds, a professor emeritus from the University of Virginia (UVA), told China News Network that Carter is a man of morality, intelligence. He is well-trained with committed attitude throughout his career. Besides, he is a man believed in facts and analysis.
Reynolds further pointed out that Carter is committed to making peace all his life and he is persisted in doing right things. He added that it is Carter’s courage that makes the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the U.S. and China possible, In the eyes of Carter making peace represents doing right things . 约谈指出，近日极兔速递、顺丰速运处理场所先后发生机械操作、装卸操作事故事件，充分暴露出企业安全发展理念树得不牢，安全生产主体责任和总部安全保障统一管理责任落实不到位，分拣设备、货车装卸设备等安全防护不规范，从业人员安全意识淡薄，安全教育培训缺失，有规不依、冒险作业等依然突出，教训深刻。 约谈要求，极兔速递、顺丰速运要从思想认识、组织领导、责任措施等方面真正把安全生产摆在至关重要的位置，坚持人民至上、生命至上，坚决守住发展决不能以牺牲人的生命为代价这条红线，坚决扛起安全责任，把保护人民群众生命财产安全作为最现实的“国之大者”落实落细落到位。要深刻吸取事故事件教训，举一反三。要对发生安全生产事故事件的原因紧盯不放，持续深化处理场所“四不”问题整治，全面排查分拣设备、装卸车辆等隐患，严查分拣员、装卸员违规操作问题，提升处理场所规范化管理水平。
在曾刚看来，因城施策用好政策工具箱，可能进一步为地方政策松绑，各地根据自己情况进一步创新调控政策，为整个房地产市场的平稳健康发展提供更多的政策支撑。（完）
