忆及卡特，美国弗吉尼亚大学名誉教授雷朴实(Bruce Reynolds)在接受中新网采访时表示，卡特为人正直、聪颖，他训练有素，且做事尽心尽力，是一个以事实和分析做判断的人。
雷朴实指出，卡特一生都在倡导和平，始终坚信应该做正确的事，他的勇气有助于推动中美两国建交。卡特坚信，这些举措是正义之举。(薛凌桥)
Jimmy Carter, who served as the 39th president of the United States from 1977 to 1981, died on Dec. 29, 2024, at the age of 100. Among Carter's many diplomatic achievements during his presidency, perhaps the most notable was promoting the establishment of diplomatic relations between the U.S. and China.
Recalling former U.S. president Jimmy Carter, Bruce Reynolds, a professor emeritus from the University of Virginia (UVA), told China News Network that Carter is a man of morality, intelligence. He is well-trained with committed attitude throughout his career. Besides, he is a man believed in facts and analysis.
Reynolds further pointed out that Carter is committed to making peace all his life and he is persisted in doing right things. He added that it is Carter’s courage that makes the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the U.S. and China possible, In the eyes of Carter making peace represents doing right things . 连日来，受高温少雨天气影响，黄河流域甘肃、内蒙古、山西、陕西、河南、山东等省（区）出现不同程度的旱情。针对流域相关省（区）旱情，黄河防总和水利部黄河水利委员会（简称黄委）第一时间分别启动抗旱四级响应和干旱防御Ⅳ级应急响应；自6月14日17时起，针对河南省启动干旱防御Ⅲ级应急响应；要求各相关单位落实落细各项抗旱保供水措施，做好旱情持续或进一步发展的应对准备。
李鹏新严重违反党的政治纪律、组织纪律、廉洁纪律和生活纪律，构成严重职务违法并涉嫌受贿犯罪，且在党的十八大后不收敛、不收手，性质严重，影响恶劣，应予严肃处理。依据《中国共产党纪律处分条例》《中华人民共和国监察法》《中华人民共和国公职人员政务处分法》等有关规定，经中央纪委常委会会议研究并报中共中央批准，决定给予李鹏新开除党籍处分；由国家监委给予其开除公职处分；收缴其违纪违法所得；将其涉嫌犯罪问题移送检察机关依法审查起诉，所涉财物一并移送。
中央要求谋划新一轮财税改革，税制改革是重头戏，未来增值税、消费税、个税等主要税种还将有进一步改革举措。笔者呼吁，在税收征管不断强化的同时，为促进企业、个人实际税负维持在合理水平，未来税制改革应当统筹考虑降低名义税率。
